Yes, the device will go into power save mode to conserve the vehicle battery, but does wake-up periodically to check its location and ensure the vehicle has not moved while the ignition is off. The device can also be queried at any time.
The device can be monitored where ever GSM (cellular networks) are present. Simcards has to be enabled with international roaming to make use of this data.
The device can be configured to send a new packet every few seconds or only send a message once a day and is based on the end users requirements.
The location of the device is calculated from the signals it receives from 24 GPS (Global Position System) satellites orbiting at an altitude 12600 miles above the earth. These satellites are also used to determine speed and heading as well.
The system is saleable to fit many profiles of users depending on the use and fleet size. The system can be installed on a single server for smaller fleets or deployed over several servers for enterprise size fleets. The system also enables users to view the data over a webpage using a browser such as Internet Explorer 7 which negates the use of expensive computer equipment.

Yes, the system tracks driving hours, working hours and distance traveled and violations such as over speeding harsh braking and acceleration to determine the driver’s performance profile. This information can be extracted with the use of comparative reports to assist the fleet operator in making an informed and fair decision.
Optionally a driver id reader can be fitted which prevents the vehicle from starting until the driver has identified himself with the coded key. The Monitoring software is also intelligent enough to link all records to driver so the driver’s performance can be measured.
Yes, we do support a personal tracker that is able to track the position of roaming staff and this data can be viewed on the same system. The personal tracker is able to make and receive voice calls and features a panic button that can be activated if the person is in distress.
The device can be installed anywhere on the vehicle where it has a clear view of the sky and is normally done behind the dashboard and out of sight to areas requiring frequent maintenance such as electrical fuse box, etc.
